Full Job Description

Test, diagnose and repair faults on engineering and/or electrical and plumbing installations, plant and equipment, to deal with new situations as they arise and pass on knowledge to others.
Have a large understanding of domestic hot water, mains cold water, plumbing, high temperature hot water heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and steam heating systems to enable diagnostic work and repairs to be completed.
Maintain and repair types of pumps, circulation systems, belt drives, pulleys and direct drive systems.
Work alongside the in house maintenance team along with working with their own initiative with minimum supervision., Test, diagnose and repair faults on engineering and/or electrical and plumbing installations, plant and equipment, to deal with new situations as they arise and pass on knowledge to others.
Understand the working of mechanical and/or electrical and plumbing systems within NHS buildings.
Instruct others on the above features and other aspects of his/her work.
Perform a wide range of work of other crafts.
Manufacture, assemble, erect and install new work.
Carry out repairs, maintain and efficiently run plant and equipment.
Use all relevant tools and equipment.
To participate in/learn new procedures, new technology, in order to improve methods of works so increasing Department efficiency and utilisation.
Perform PPM maintenance on these systems along with any other duties delegated to them by the Team Leaders that are within their capabilities
