Full Job Description
This role is for an Operational Trainer working within DBS, covering functional training, and upskilling within operational delivery in the business areas: Finance Procurement Civilian People Services (FPCP) and Armed Forces Veterans Services (AFVS).
Finance Procurement Civilian People Services (FPCP) deliver functional training to operational delivery teams within procurement, pay & workforce management, and recruitment & onboarding, including staff inductions.
Armed Forces Veterans Services (AFVS) within DBS, administers the War Pensions Scheme (WPS) and Armed Forces Compensation Scheme (AFCS) along with the Armed Forces Pension Schemes (AFPS). The Operational Procedures Training and Courts (OPTaC) Training team contributes to the capability of the compensation business by working closely with other enabling areas to effectively deliver operational training.
Trainers will work to a specialised area initially, within one of the business areas above, and will be expected to develop, design, and deliver a range of courses, working alongside Operational subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure factuality and relevance. This includes classroom-based learning and e-Learning packages to fit the business need and keep the training operationally relevant and in line with policy and legislative intent.
This training environment is fast paced, responding quickly and professionally to changing business priorities as needed. This role also requires a collaborative approach with wider L&D delivery, focusing on consistency in delivery, lessons learnt, and capability to deliver across all training packages within your business area.
