DBS0441 / 24 - Cleaner - Redesdale Primary School

The Headteacher and Governors of Redesdale Primary School are seeking to recruit a part-time cleaner to join the facilities cleaning team. Duties include general cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, sweeping and emptying bins etc. You will work under the direction of the school Caretaker to ensure the school is clean and hygienically always maintained.

We can offer challenging, yet rewarding work to the right candidate who we expect to be pro-active and enthusiastic. Basic numeracy and literacy skills and the ability to work unsupervised using your own initiative are essential. The work includes a certain amount of bending, lifting, pushing and pulling in line with the physical nature of the work undertaken. The successful candidate will be expected to attend appropriate training as required.

Previous experience, knowledge and training, including general health, safety and CoSHH awareness and associated training would be desirable. Full training will also be provided.

Redesdale Primary School is part of the wider North Tyneside Learning Trust (NTLT) group of 47 schools.

This post is permanent, 11.25 hours per week over 52 weeks per year. There is a standard annual leave entitlement of between 25 and 29 days, subject to length of service, in addition to all public bank holidays. Annual leave must be taken by agreement with the school, and only during periods of school closure.

The normal weekly working pattern will be Monday to Friday from 3:15pm to 5:30pm daily.
