Full Job Description

The Community Learning Disability Team work extremely closely with our colleagues in Northumbria Healthcare to ensure that our service users always benefit from a multi-disciplinary approach.

The team have been trained in the Ways to Wellbeing strengths-based model of practice and as a leader you will be dedicated to seeing it further embedded within the service and work collaboratively with the team and other managers to ensure a quality service with meaningful outcomes for our users and families.

As part of the management team, you will be expected to provide a high quality of supervision, you will be able to think of innovative ideas to promote performance improvements and to instil the values of we listen, we care, we are ambitious and value for money safer.

You will lead the teams you are responsible for and will receive regular support and supervision from the Senior Manager. You will be part of a wider network of team managers. You will be supported to build excellent working relationships with staff, residents and partners, to make our vision a reality.

The successful candidate will need to have a professional qualification in social or health care to Degree level (or recognised equivalent) and have appropriate supervisory experience. We are looking for candidates to be enthusiastic and dedicated to providing the best service for adults with a learning disability, their Parents, and carers.

You will be one of two managers managing the Adults Learning Disabilities Team and the Community Enablement Team, however, you will be working very closely with the Whole Life Disability Team Managers in Children's to ensure a smooth transition process in disability services across children's and adults social care.
