Full Job Description

This is a diverse role and is pivotal in enabling the smooth running of some key Housing Debit Control functions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the direct debits process, including direct debit collection and rejections.

  • Ensuring that property and rent account charges for our rent accounts are accurate by working closely with New Tenancy Officers and Housing Officers.

  • Coordinating Freedom of Information (FOI) requests; directing requests to the correct resource and chasing responses to meet tight legislative deadlines.

  • Overseeing the administration of mobile devices for the directorate.

  • Managing the provision of concessionary TV licences for sheltered blocks.

  • Supporting the Home Contents Insurance Scheme offered by PCC through AON (broker).

  • Other administrative tasks as needed for the directorate.

    1. Have previous experience of working in an administrative role.

  • 2. Have strong numeracy skills for account management.
    3. Have excellent attention to detail.
    4. Good IT skills with practical experience of spread sheet applications, specifically Excel.
    5. A flexible and adaptable approach to your work.
    6. Be able to manage and prioritise a diverse workload.
    7. Have good communication skills and confidence in dealing with people.
    8. Be able to use your initiative to make informed and appropriate decisions.
    9. Be able to learn, develop and adapt to changing situations within the role and team as well as driving improvements to the processes.
    10. A good knowledge of Freedom of Information & Information Governance.
    11. Be able to work well within a team.
