An excellent opportunity has arisen to work in the Commercial Waste Team. You will be part of a small but vibrant team, delivering excellent services to our expanding customer portfolio, within a competitive commercial sector. As the Debt Recovery and Admin Officer, you will administer and monitor the debt recovery and credit control functions for Commercial Waste and other Waste teams within Street Environmental Services. You will also work with colleagues to provide day-to-day administrative and business support to the service and our customers.

Key role responsibilities will be:

-Ensuring all waste invoice payments are received within the agreed payment terms, maintaining accurate records at all times, and where applicable work with other Council teams to maximise income recovery.
-Create and review the debt recovery strategy on an annual basis.
-Prepare routine financial debt reports on a weekly, monthly and ad hoc bases for SES Management Team.
-Assess outstanding debts, making recommendations for referral to Debt Collection Agencies or Write-Off, in accordance with agreed processes.
-Be responsible for SAP financial issues including payment allocations, managing customer and suppliers' details, raising Purchase Orders and reconciling payments made and received.
-Provide administrative and business support to the Commercial Waste service and its customers, including resolving queries and responding to correspondences.
-Periodically undertake customer invoicing responsibilities, as cover for the Sales System Support Officer.
