Full Job Description

This role is part of the Tesco Mobile team and will be based out of the Manchester office. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing our relationships with debt collection agencies and orchestrating our debt collection strategies to improve cash flow. This is a multifaceted role, requiring the individual to not only lead debt collection relationships, but assist the wider Billing Operations Chapter in its Finance Transformation by innovating and driving process efficiency through the integration of automation, outsourcing, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions,

  • Proven experience in billing operations and debt collection within a mobile telecommunications environment
  • Strong understanding of debt collection regulations and compliance requirements
  • Proven track record to form and manage relationships with external agencies
  • Excellent analytical skills to assess billing systems and processes and identify areas for improvement
  • Proven influencing skills with the ability to drive a step change in debt collection activity whilst maintaining a focus on Consumer Duty

  • The role will involve holding regular virtual and face to face meetings with our collection agencies around the UK, so extensive travel will be crucial.
  • Working closely with the Billing Analysts to use information they have discovered to have influencing conversations that influence how we collect debt
