Full Job Description
Decontamination Services Technician - Grade A, AGH Solutions 30 hours per week. Working hours are as follows : Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm Saturday 8am to 1pm (working 1 in 4 Saturdays) Please note, the position will be part of the Bank Holiday rota working 8am to 12pm, To undertake decontamination services duties and assist in providing a specialised decontamination of medical devices service contributing to the clinical care of the patient
Qualifications Essential NVQ Level 2 or equivalent of knowledge / or GSCE English, Maths and Sciences at Grade C or above Desirable Basic Microbiology knowledge Experience / Knowledge Essential
- Proven experience of working within a Healthcare / manufacturing environment
- Experience of customer relations and dealing with a diverse customer base both face to face and over the telephone
- Experience of working in a team but also able to work on own initiative
- Healthcare / industry experience in health and safety and hygiene Desirable
- Working within a Quality system and standard operating procedures
- Knowledge and experience in the decontamination of reusable medical devices Skills Essential
- Basic IT Skills
- Basic English and Maths
- Ability to work accurately under pressure Desirable Basic Microbiology knowledge Personal qualities Essential Good communication skills, written and spoken. Desirable
- Positive attitude towards change.
- Shows interest in the aims of the department.
