Full Job Description
Our primary school in Slough is looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join our team and support children with Special Educational Needs. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the academic and personal development of students who benefit from tailored learning approaches. Role Overview: As an SEN Teacher, you will work with a group of primary-aged students with SEND, delivering lessons that are engaging, differentiated, and focused on their individual needs. You will collaborate with other staff members to create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and offer consistent support to ensure that students meet their full potential.,
- Plan, prepare, and deliver differentiated lessons for students with a range of SEND.
- Support students in their academic development and personal growth, adapting teaching methods as needed.
- Regularly assess student progress, providing feedback and adapting learning strategies.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, support staff, and other professionals to ensure effective learning.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
- Foster an inclusive, positive, and safe classroom environment.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification. - Previous experience working with children with SEND in a primary school setting.
- A creative, adaptable, and patient approach to teaching.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and other professionals.
