Full Job Description
The small Business Management Team support and collaborate with Financial, Procurement & Civilian People Services (FPCP) in relation to DBS cross cutting projects, the management of governance, provision of secretariat functions & operational activities that require support to be rolled out across DBS. Prioritising a programme of work to meet required deadlines set by FPCP Management Board.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Efficient, effective running a small team.
Line management responsibilities for Executive Assistant/Business Support.
Direct Support for FPCP Head.
Actively build relationships with colleagues, peers & networks across DBS & MOD to support shared purpose ensuring delivery
Support Senior Management to meet deadlines & submissions.
Collate & presenting business information
Support FPCP staff engagement
Person specification
We are looking for someone with the following skills
Highly organised with demonstrable communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills.
Proven ability to deliver against tight timescales and to quickly identify innovative, pragmatic and accurate answers and solutions.
A good working knowledge of 0365 tools
Strong presentation and drafting skills
Ability to engage, communicate and influence across grades

DBS has recently undertaken a review of its operational locations in the North West, and have consolidated all activities in Norcross, Blackpool. A further move, to the new Government Hub at Talbot Gateway in Blackpool, is scheduled to take place in 2026.
