Full Job Description

The role sits within the DBS Digital Information and Technology (DIT) Pillar. The role, based within an IT environment, will be part of the CDS Live Services Team in DIT, sitting within Operations, alongside the Interfaces and Infrastructure Support Teams. Supporting the introduction of any new technical solutions on Finance and Commercial Applications, predominantly based around Oracle E-Business Suite and a number of related ancillary services.

This provides a mutually beneficial environment for learning and developing skills across a range of technical disciplines., Full System Administration Role for Oracle E-Business Suite including the user onboarding workbook process and maintenance. Security rule set up and approvals across the whole organisation, including high value approvals up to 2 Star level. Maintenance and completion of daily/monthly live schedules including End of Accounting Period and End of Year processes.
Engage with TLB focal points for the Oracle on and off boarding process to resolve access and approval queries.
Ensure all Live Service processes are completed to an agreed timescale to meet various KPI's and manage issues arising from operational process failures by resolving in a timely manner.
System Administration Role for the eSourcing Defence Sourcing Portal (DSP).
System Administration Role for the AWARD Commercial Tendering Process.
Liaise with the business to reschedule processes as and when issues occur to minimise business impact.
Review resources and requirements of all change requests prior to installation on the live system.
Assist with the creation of operational service documentation prior to the introduction of a new service.
Verify that the acceptance criteria have been met prior to the introduction of the service into the live environment.
Installation of any new Oracle system configuration changes and action Oracle patch installation. Including organisation projects.
Escalation, tracking and reporting of Oracle E-Business Suite technical incidents and problems.
Proactively identify issues arising across live systems and ensure they are resolved.
Engagement with first and second line support teams to ensure appropriate actions are taken to resolve issues and details of workarounds and solutions are recorded.
Act as a focal point regarding live issues and ensure all stakeholders are updated.
Support end user queries regarding small system access databases.
Action end user queries via the remedy ticketing system daily and resolve within the agreed SLA.
