Full Job Description

The Deputy Programme Manager (DepPM3), based at MOD Northwood, will work within the Programme and Project Support Office (PPSO) reporting to the Programme Manager (PgM). Line Management of this role is by DNO SubCap Desk Officer. The PgM is responsible and accountable to the Senior Responsible Owner, through the Desk Officer, for the timely delivery of the programme Full Business Cases (FBC) in accordance with the approved programme and authorised budget; and the delivery of the approved solutions arising from the previously endorsed Business Cases. The SRO has delegated, to the PgM, functional authority over the Programme and Project Support Office (PPSO) and the resources appointed to it.

They will be responsible for management of project and programme Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies and Opportunities (RAIDO) and other Management Information and requirements for the programme. They will ensure that the Sponsor's interests are considered with respect to the programme across the Enterprise with specific focus on performance, cost and time, managing trades as required. They will be expected to contribute to improvement of relationships between Sponsor, Stakeholders, Customer, Delivery Agents (DIO, DD) and Industry Partners through effective communication and integration.

The role is essential in supporting delivery of the Defence Nuclear Programme. The individual should be able to demonstrate a successful track record and experience of office management, ICT, security and requirements in similar environments. The individual in this role will be required to support projects at differing degrees of maturity, depending on the programme state. The role will manage the Project Office and the processes and procedures to allow work to be conducted securely. Management of ICT equipment and induction training for users. Onboard and manage staff as part of the management team.
