Full Job Description

As a Delivery Lead, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This is the leading role for the contract supporting the UK Military front line communications service across the UK, making a difference to individuals. Day-to-day, you'll:

  • Ensure all elements of the Defence Strategic Radio Service are delivered successfully in line with commercial agreements, capability enhancement projects are successful integrated as planned and overall strategic objectives are met.
  • Ensure service Key Performance Indicators are achieved, including management of potential service delivery risks and issues (including for overseas sites).
  • Overall financial and commercial responsibility within a complex delivery environment, including profit and loss accounting, forecasting and management of risk, continuous improvement and contract growth.
  • Provision of key management information to inform operational business reviews; inclusive of contract & financial reviews to the Business Unit Managing Director / Sector CEO.
  • Developing and maintaining a strong, collaborative working relationship with the Ministry of Deference and our key supply chain partners.
  • Resource and lead an international dispersed multi-disciplinary team across various sites, ensuring our purpose and principles are at the forefront.
  • This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the onsite and 3 days working from home. This role also requires occasional travel to Corsham and other UK sites and potentially overseas travel.

    Essential Experience of the Delivery Lead
  • A background in leading successful services, projects or programmes within a Defence environment.
  • Experience in leading geographically dispersed staff (both locally with the UK and internationally).
  • A track record of developing and nurturing key stakeholder relationships (both internal and external) to achieve results, in particular with the Ministry of Defence.
  • A demonstrable appetite for business growth, capability development and leading teams.
  • Qualifications for the Delivery Lead
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in relevant technical or management discipline.
  • A full passport and driving license.
  • Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role. However, you will be able to start on Security Check (SC) with the intention to gain Developed Vetting (DV).
