Full Job Description

Are you an experienced HGV driver, driver trainer, risk assessor or transport supervisor? Do you have experience of urban delivery and understand the challenges drivers face out on the road? We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Transportteam at Greggs as a Delivery Point Assessor and really help to shape exciting and dynamic shop growth, sustainably.,

  • The base location for this role is flexible, nominally based at one of our Supply locations in Enfield or Amesbury as you will be covering the South Region, It's expected that much of your time will be spent visiting our shops across the region.
  • What you'll do
  • Produce and maintain the Delivery Point Assessment documents.
  • Provide Transport Solutions team with shop data supporting route planning.
  • Survey existing shop estate for delivery efficiency opportunities.
  • Visit all retail & supply locations across the network to assess and document the delivery process.
  • Identify and report issues at delivery points. Recommend solutions for transport operational & planning teams.
  • Work with Transport Managers and their teams to understand delivery challenges.
  • Provide quality reports and feedback / solutions to the transport teams on new openings / Re-site / Customer Complaints / Actions following RTI
  • Work closely with Property, New Shop Development and SHE to identify and report issues before lease agreed.
  • Work closely with Central Planning Team reporting on issues that could impact on future route reviews.

    You will fit right into this role if you :
  • You hold a minimum of a Class 2 licence, and have experience in the urban retail multidrop sector.
  • You are an effective and confident communicator, in writing and verbally.
  • You are confident using Microsoft Teams and Excel for producing reports and working with others.
  • Have an open mind to new procedures and solutions to promote a safer working environment.
  • Ideally you will hold a Class 1 licence and will have experience working with a variety of trailer types.
  • Previous experience of DPA would be desirable.
  • IOSH or similar Risk assessment experience / qualifications.
  • Previous supervisory experience working within a transport office environment.
