Full Job Description
Ultra Precision Control Systems (PCS) are looking for a Demand Analyst. This role is the demand integration point to the S&OP Supply manager, sales & marketing, customer service, commercial and project/program management functions of the business, they will lead the dialogue each month to agree the demand plan through the demand reviews and working with the Planning Director to consolidate the business plans for the Executive review.,
- Lead and execute the demand planning process for PCS, ensuring alignment to the business strategy.
- Ensure overall collection and preparation of forecasts from pre-sales activities, bids, quotes, projects, agreements, build rates, aftermarket sales, spares sales and orders.
- Provide the business with an unconstrained market driven plan
- Input into developing and delivering a financial forecast.
- Maintain forecasts and analyse changes between forecasts
- Develop relevant forecast accuracy performance data.
- Undertake root cause analysis to understand forecast accuracy
- Manage customer demand vs platform rate disparities.
- Support NPI within the business.
- Communicate product inventory strategies to the supply planning team
- Oversee demand planning and management processes for new and existing products
- Create and execute product demand plans to meet organizational goals
- Assist in risk assessment and mitigation activities - Input into safety stock policies
- Develop and manage the S&OP process alongside the S&OP Supply manager.
- Align the marketing activity with demand opportunities and business delivery capability
Demonstrated strong numerical and analytical skills - Commercial thinker able to make connections with data across the business
- Licenses/Certificates:
- Oliver Wight S&OP Training or equivalent
- APICS or other planning Certification preferred
- Experience of IFS ERP system
- Ability to influence and support key business stakeholders
- Ability to challenge current embedded culture and ways of working
- Three years of experience in the industry - Background gained in the aerospace or defence sectors (preferred, not essential), Candidates must be able to work in the UK without restrictions in accordance with UK National Law and be prepared to successfully undertake an appropriate level of UK National Security Vetting according to UK Government National Security Vetting criteria.
