What will you be doing? You will lead the team that is responsible for forecasting sales for all of our devices across CBU Direct and EBU Direct channels. You will need to establish close relationships with Trading and Commercial teams and work with them to accurately translate the business ambition into sku/segment level forecast that have a high degree of accuracy to feed into the Supply Planning and Device Operations Team. This role requires a high degree of commercial understanding and demand planning experience to fully understand the business ambition and impact on individual product performance as well as the wider business. You must be able to operate at all levels of an organisation, manage many conflicting goals, deal with ambiguity, take ownership and communicate complex situations in an impactful and simple way to senior managers. Key accountabilities include:
- People manager for a team of Demand Planning Specialists - responsible for their performance, career development, and job satisfaction.
- Own the Device Operations sku level forecast for the CBU Direct and EBU Direct channels across all device types which is built ensuring alignment with the appropriate business trading teams.
- Responsible for building the Device Operations despatch budgets across all channels using the business customer numbers, down to vendor level using own knowledge and alignment with the Device Operations Commercial team based on their future vendor strategy.
- Responsible for providing VF UK despatch forecasts to VF Group in line with their requirements.
- Raise despatch risks and Opportunities to the wider Device Operations team on a weekly basis to allow them to make any corrective action prior to formal changes.
- Monitor, measure and seek to improve sku level forecast accuracy at a minimum of Lag 2.
- Work with the Portfolio team to ensure alignment on the active range and provide recommendations based on your knowledge and experience.
- Ensure daily and weekly NPI forecasts are delivered to the Device Operations Team and the wider business in a timely manner.
- Work with the Device Operations reporting team to ensure suitable dashboards are available to teams. Who are we looking for?
- Strong understanding and experience of Demand Planning principles and best practice.
- A strong commercial mind, able to translate complex data into a clear and concise story for senior stakeholders.
- Exceptional influencing skills at all levels of an organisation, and proven ability of working closely with multiple demanding stakeholders with misaligned priorities to extract the best result for your team.
- Comfortable with dealing with a large volume of complex data and ability to consolidate and present that in a simple, clear and concise manner.
- Proven ability of growing and developing a team.
- Comfortable with working in a fast moving and ever-changing commercial environment with proven ability to flex and develop continuously.
- Knowledge of demand planning industry best practice and systems and ideally experience of an implementation. What's in it for you?
