Full Job Description

The Extracare Charitable Trust are recruiting for a Dementia and Mental Wellbeing Enabler to join our friendly team at Earlsdon Park Retirement Village in Coventry.
We are excited to be recruiting for a Dementia and Mental Wellbeing Enabler to support the village's commitment in delivering ExtraCare's mission of "better lives for older people".

Extracare does not participate in the current "UK Visa Sponsorship" scheme, and we would not be able to facilitate sponsorship., + Knowledge of Dementia and Mental Health conditions and the ability to provide one to one support to people living with those conditions.
+ Caseload management experience
+ Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team
+ Experience of using cognitive assessments
Skills and Competencies
+ Ability to develop empathic relationships with residents.
+ Ability to use supervision effectively and self-reflect.
+ Capacity to remain motivated even when working under pressure.
+ Respect for other people's rights of autonomy.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Ability to apply your knowledge of psychosocial and solution focused interventions to residents' problems.
+ Understand the limits of your role and when to escalate cases for clinical input.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
+ Formal qualification in relevant field (Health & Social Care, Psychology, Counselling)
+ Good understanding of the psychosocial approach
+ Good understanding of the needs of individuals living with dementia
+ Be able to describe pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments for dementia symptoms.
+ Good understanding of the needs of individuals living with common mental health conditions
