What you'll be doing In this role you will support the Chef de Partie in the smooth running of the shift. You will be responsible for maintaining the high quality of food production expected from our customers, occasionally assist in training and development of all team members in the kitchen and maintain standards of hygiene within department.   • Prepare all foods at the correct temperature according to the HACCP guidelines.
  • Follow and ensure compliance with food safety and handling policies and procedures, such as product rotation, First In-First Out (FIFO); dating, labeling, cleaning, and organizing coolers/freezers/storage areas; and Cold Chain compliance, across all food-related departments and areas.
  • Ensure the quality of the food items and notify manager if a product does not meet specifications.
  • Monitor the quantity of food that is prepared and the portions that are served to control food waste.
  • Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food using thermostats and thermometers, including monitoring freezer systems, such as fans, drains, and doors, for proper operation, and report issues or problems to facility management.
  • Report maintenance issues immediately to appropriate personnel (i.e., management or maintenance).
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company Food Safety Programs within assigned area of responsibility, as well as all local and legal regulations.

  • This is a full time position (40 hours per 5 day week) working a variety of shifts Monday to Sunday. This role also requires the ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs. Standing, sitting or walking for extended periods of time and ensuring a professional appearance in a clean uniform are also required.
