Full Job Description

Nurse roles within clinic predominantly provide chairside set up and support for the teaching programs including implantology, periodontology, endodontology, oral surgery. Tasks include but are not limited to:

Comply with all relevant policies, procedures, and update training.
Supporting and assisting the range of clinicians onsite (Dentist, Therapist, Hygienist visiting academics or students).
Provide pre and postoperative advice and instruction for dental procedures.
Preparation of clinical areas including instrument sterilization, cross infection control and all relevant information, equipment, and materials in readiness for the treatment of patients.
Student induction deliver.
Epidemiology support in the community

The School of Dentistry requires a full time Dental Nurse to join our onsite clinic-based team. This role requires a suitably qualified, GDC registered dental nurse to work flexibly providing nursing across our clinical teaching activities, patient based regulated activities, supporting external epidemiology studies and oral health promotion. The successful candidate will have a National Certificate of the Examining Board for Dental Nurses or NVQ level 3 qualification., This role is 36.25 hrs worked over 4 days on a 5-day rota period between 8:30 am - 6:30 pm. Candidates will need to evidence experience in a busy dental environment, possess knowledge of dental software; preferably SOE and evidence of continuing professional development., Disability Confident
