Full Job Description

+ To practice within the scope of a General Dental Council (GDC) registered dental nurse, and maintain compliance with the GDC professional standards
+ Provide a high level of dental nursing care throughout the department. This will include patients with special needs, vulnerable children and adults, the elderly, mentally and physically disabled patients, patients suffering from terminal illness, infectious risk, medically compromised, anxious/phobic patients and people with challenging behaviour.
+ Deliver a high standard of chairside assistance across the whole range of dental specialities within the department, supporting all grades of clinicians.
+ Maintaining high standards of infection control throughout.
+ Ensure all specialist equipment is maintained and used in an appropriate manner.
+ Assist with the manual handling and transferring of patients complying with the Trust Moving and Handling policy.
+ Maintain absolute confidentiality in respect of all medical and nursing records and interpersonal issues with colleagues.

We would welcome any applications for this Band 4 role from those with experience in Dental Nursing and/or Orthodontics.
We would also consider newly qualified Dental Nurses with the relevant experience.
We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and a compassionate nurse with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to help us to deliver outstanding treatment and care to our patients.
You will assist in our Orthodontics, Restorative and specialised clinics such as Orthognathic. As well as Oral surgery clinics, day surgery theatre list, IV sedation and minor oral surgery operations.
