Full Job Description

Assisting in the provision of a financial service to the Station and parented units including monitoring of In Year expenditure, monthly forecasting and accruals accounting. To provide direction and policy guidance in the committing of funds in the procurement of goods/services.
Ensure funding requests are aligned with the annual Business Plan and business cases are raised, recorded and authorised in line with Headquarters Air Command directives.
Assist in compiling the annual Business Plan to meet the output of the Station, Lodger Units and all parenting obligations.
Oversee the monthly scrutiny of travel and overtime claims undertaken by the Business Support Administration Officer and carry out verification checks. To ensure that the stock consumption is analysed monthly and the stock summary updated.
Act as the Electronic Procurement Card (ePC) Manager, with responsibility for the management of the ePC accounts on the Station. Duties include monitoring usage, processing applications, dealing with queries and ensuring the Checking Officer undertakes all relevant scrutiny checks.
Management of all queries on the Station in relation to any Civil Service staff movements or changes. To include submission or upload of relevant forms/documentation required to facilitate workforce changes.
Preparation of workforce data for OC BMS and running monthly reports as required. To maintain the monthly nominal role to reflect headcount changes.
Overall responsibility for the management of the Station Parenting Statement including annual reviews, amending and processing changes as well as maintaining the necessary audit trails for changes to be implemented by the HQ Air Command Parenting Cell. To reflect changes within the associated Service Level Agreements.
Responsible for day to day management of the Station's Travel Cell and the supervision of the Travel Cell Co-ordinator. To be competent in the booking of all methods of travel for Station personnel and parented units including flights, ferries and accommodation both in the UK and overseas. All bookings must be booked in line with current policies.
Line Management responsibility for 2 x Administration Officers within Business Support Flight.
