Full Job Description
You will be responsible for preparing, serving, cleaning multiple meal servings over the school break periods and engaging with our young community, duties include:
- Plan, operate and control the production and service of food
- Take responsibility for the standard of cleanliness and hygiene of premises and equipment
- Order all food and other commodities required from designated suppliers
- Create a welcoming and efficient food service which supports the schools healthy eating aims
- Maintain Wimbledon College standards of kitchen, allergen and personal hygiene and Health and Safety and operate to the standard required by the Statutory Health and Safety and Hygiene Regulations;
- Induction and training of staff
- Preparing and replenishing the food and beverage service display areas
- Serving the pupils and teachers fresh healthy nutritious food
- Setting up furniture & handling deliveries
The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of multiple cooking methods and an understanding of correct cooking procedures, and you will have a Level 2 or 3 certificate in food hygiene in addition to an NVQ or equivalent qualification in food preparation. You will have experience managing or deputising in a kitchen, or supervising a catering team, but we will consider applications from candidates without previous experience who have the capacity and willingness to learn and develop on the job., Previous catering experience in a similar operation. - Level 2 or 3 certificate in food hygiene in addition to an NVQ or equivalent qualification in food preparation.

Term-time hours (38 weeks per year) - 5 days per week 7am - 2pm
- Pro rata 6 weeks paid holiday included in monthly spread over payments. (Actual Salary £15.30 per hour, £23,676p.a)
