Full Job Description
Your role will be to act as team leader including taking charge of the unit in the absence of a Senior Speciality Sister/Charge Nurse and be responsible for the effective deployment of Critical Care resources including manpower, adhere to the Nursing and Midwifery Code of Practice at all times and must ensure Critical Care's compliance with and application of hospital policies and procedures.
You will also support the development, implementation and monitoring of Governance systems in Critical Care relating to Risk Management, Health and Safety and Controls Assurance, ensure that an individual programme of care is planned, implemented and evaluated for each patient within own sphere of responsibility, participate in all relevant aspects of the Governance process, We work together, and in conjunction with MSE Health and Care Partnership, to deliver excellent local and specialist services, to improve the health and wellbeing of our patients in a compassionate way, and provide a respectful, but vibrant place for staff to develop, innovate and build careers.

You will have strong leadership qualities and an advanced level of critical care knowledge with a minimum of 3 years recent experience within the Critical Care environment, hold an advanced Critical Care qualification and be motivated individuals with a vision of how to take the Critical Care services forward.
