Full Job Description

We have an extremely exciting opportunity to join our ICB as Deputy Chief Medical Officer. Our ICB was formed with four overarching aims: to improve outcomes in population health and healthcare; to tackle inequalities in outcomes, experience and access; to enhance productivity and value for money; and to help the NHS support broader social and economic development., We are seeking a Deputy Chief Medical Officer with the right values, commitment and energy to support delivery of our clinical strategy and ensure we deliver high-quality, safe and sustainable services to the people and families living across Derby and Derbyshire. We have an aspiration to enhance the health and care outcomes for the populations we serve by working more effectively together and harnessing the skills and expertise across our system., This new and pivotal role will work alongside our Chief Medical Officer to support the work of the medical directorate in delivering high quality, safe and effective care. This is an exceptional opportunity to join our system, and we are looking to speak with compassionate, empathetic and inclusive leaders who can work in collaboration with our partners.

We are seeking clinical leaders with credibility, resilience and vision and who are committed to improving and influencing healthcare outcomes for our communities.

We value and promote diversity and are committed to equality of opportunity for all. We believe that the best organisations are those that reflect the communities they serve. We want to increase the diversity of our NHS leadership and particularly encourage applications from candidates from the global majority, women, LGBTQ+ communities, and from people with lived experience of disability.
