Deputy Chief Medical Officer

Sussex Partnership has an exciting opportunity to join the Senior Medical Leadership Team as the Deputy Chief Medical Officer.

The Deputy Chief Medical Officer is a full member of the Trust Senior Leadership Team responsible for the governance and performance of the Trust, its strategic direction, and for meeting its objectives and targets.

You will also have shared responsibility for developing an organisational climate which fosters genuine partnership with service users and carers, frontline staff and other statutory and non-statutory bodies in the development of socially inclusive, good quality mental health, social care and learning disabilities services., The Deputy Chief Medical Officer will have specific delegated responsibility for providing leadership to the medical staff, promoting excellent medical engagement and medical relationships across the system as directed by the Chief Medical Officer.

You will also be the Senior Management Team Medical lead for innovation, change and medical engagement in digital transformation.

The post will include 2 programmed activities of a clinical role (from available posts in the Trust) appropriate to the post holder; we welcome and encourage interested applicants to contact us to explore what clinical opportunities are available.
