Full Job Description

Due to the retirement of the current post holder, we are looking for an experienced pharmacist with excellent communication skills, leadership skills and clinical pharmacy knowledge to join the pharmacy team as Deputy Chief Pharmacist, Clinical Services.

You will work with the Chief Pharmacist to ensure the Trust-wide delivery of safe, effective and efficient medicines optimisation and pharmacy services to patients and other service users in the Trust. As a member of the Pharmacy Senior Leadership Team you will assist in leading the development of medicines optimisation and pharmacy services throughout the Trust.

You will manage medicines optimisation and pharmacy services colleagues throughout the Trust who are involved in providing services or supporting projects within the areas of responsibility of the Deputy Chief Pharmacist, Clinical Services. You will work with the Chief Pharmacist in ensuring objectives are met for Pharmacy., As Deputy Chief Pharmacist, Clinical Services you will be responsible for clinical pharmacy, patient safety and quality, medicines information, clinical trials, education, training and workforce development, professional secretary to the Drugs and Therapeutics Committee.

You will be joining a friendly department with over 80 staff, including 22 other pharmacists with expertise in a wide range of specialities, in providing pharmacy services to children.
