Full Job Description

Brent Talking Therapies is located in the diverse London borough of Brent. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner with strong leadership skills to join our senior leadership team as Deputy Clinical Lead alongside our existing Deputy Clinical Lead. This post is open to any experienced Talking Therapies (IAPT) clinician including Clinical or Counselling Psychologists who have been in a senior role and are formally qualified and fully accredited via established Talking Therapies (IAPT) training and professional bodies., You will work closely with the clinical lead and the senior leadership team to manage operational issues within the team, and will have clinical supervision responsibilities for qualified therapists and other clinical staff as required, as well as shared responsibility for designated management duties such as recruitment, line management and performance management.

The role involves oversight of the Step 2 CBT team including qualified and trainee PWPs. You will be responsible for the day to day operation of the service across our team bases, including supervision and line management of staff, delivery of KPIs and provision of training for staff. The role will also involve leading on specific areas for the service including development of links with external organisations as well as internal development projects. Experience of working with long-term conditions is desirable.

You will also have experience of developing a substantial service provision including managing, service development and evaluation and providing expertise through teaching and supervising. You will have a track record of excellent collaborative working, staff development and good relationships with colleagues across mental health services, as well as, experience of working within the wider borough mental health developments., You will need a good understanding of the needs of people with mental health difficulties and experience of working with these client groups. You will carry a clinical caseload and also receive support for further training and development in specialist areas of interest.

You will have the opportunity to become involved with quality improvement projects and other initiatives that enhance the service user experience and will be responsible for providing reports and data around performance as appropriate.

You will also have experience of working in a senior role, providing management and supervision to staff within Talking Therapies, and also experience of supporting service development and expansion in areas such as community partnerships, working with other healthcare providers, perinatal, and long-term health conditions amongst others.

You will be familiar with Talking Therapies requirements and have experience of using data to manage delivery of all key targets.

The catchment area of the post is the London borough of Brent. The main hub for the service is based at Fairfields House in Kingsbury and there is a satellite hub at Bell House in Willesden Green.You will be required to work across both hubs & in other parts of the borough, e.g. GP surgeries & community settings.

We operate an agile working policy where staff combine remote working and being on-site to deliver face-to-face appointments and other service commitments that require a hub-based presence. The post-holder will work full-time hours & may be required to work at any times between 8am & 8pm on weekdays including an evening clinic as required by the service.
