Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity for an Experienced, Motivated, Dynamic Registered Health Professional to join the Fracture Clinic Team at University Hospitals. Supporting the running of the Fracture Clinic Services, as part of the wider Clinical Support Services Outpatients team. The Fracture Clinic will incorporate the Trauma and Elective clinics, Virtual Fracture Clinic and Plaster Room Services (Adult, Paediatric and Outreach Teams). Please note that as part of this role you will be expected to currently hold or complete the British Orthopaedic Association, British Casting Certificate., You will support the current management team in the running and development of the Fracture Clinic services. Using UHCWi methodology to identify areas for improvement, to enhance the patient journey and improve/maintain staff wellbeing and morale. You will help maintain a safe environment for patients and staff by monitoring health and Safety / Risk assessments, ensuring effective roster management and day to day skill mix, performing local and Trust wide audits - monitoring trends and acting on results. Working with wider teams within the Trust to support sickness absence, effective use of resources and finance, and providing a sound learning environment for students and learners.
- Accountable for own actions in accordance with own governing body e.g. British Orthopaedic Association, Nursing and Midwifery Council - Code of Professional Conduct. Will contribute to corporate objectives, acting within local, Trust and statutory guidelines and policies at all times.
- Effectively communicate information regarding clinical decisions, policy and care pathways to patients/carers and the multi-professional team.
- A skilled practitioner and clinical leader providing support to the management team, participating in service/policy development. The post holder will deputise in the absence of the clinic manager and will be responsible for the management of the team in their absence
