Full Job Description

Reporting to the Editor, MoneyWeek, the Deputy Digital Editor will support MoneyWeek's digital editor to ensure the smooth running of the site and to help manage the daily workflow of the digital team.

Your role will involve editorial planning, content creation and commissioning (in-house and freelance). You'll manage the workflow of the writers to make sure everything goes onto the site on time and to the highest possible editorial standard.

You will take charge of the daily news agenda which includes commissioning both internal writers and external freelancers each day. You will also oversee our daily newsletters, working with the writers to guarantee a good mix of high-performing content twice each day. You will need to be organised, with an approach to planning, and delivery.

You must be comfortable writing about personal finance, pensions, investments and property, and explaining these topics in plain English to help readers make the most of their money.

  • An understanding and interest in the subjects that are core to MoneyWeek's readership - investment and personal finance, in particular.

  • Substantial editing expertise

  • Experience using content management systems and other editorial systems

  • You'll also have a focus on great web user experience so our users can easily action any tips we bring in our articles


  • A good familiarity with SEO best practices and analytics-driven content strategy.

  • Understand and embrace social media and other evolving digital platforms.
