Full Job Description

This role involved becoming a senior member of the Nursing & Professions team, it is an exciting opportunity to work with other Deputies & Executive colleagues within Devon Partnership Trust.

There is chance to bring your own expertise and skills to further develop within the six month period with coaching and senior management supervision.

The priorities of this role are in patient safety & the quality of care with a majority of time focus on inpatient services., The duties will involve leading on smaller projects of work, preparing meeting reports into committee, representing the Interim Chief Nurse in meetings and line manging a small number of staff in the Nursing & Professions Team., Please refer to the full Job Description and Person specification attached to this advert which will provide further information on this role.

  • Substantial Head of Profession/Management Experience in the delivery of Mental Health and /or related healthcare services demonstrating effective track record of managing complex services and large budgets.

  • Significant inpatient leadership and quality improvement work experience.

  • Demonstrable Experience of identifying and delivering professional development and improving standards of professional care.

  • Direct experience of managing / leading change management, Professional qualification and registration

  • Registered Nurse with either an RMN, RNMH or RGN

  • Registered Allied Health Professional (Occupational Therapist)

  • Registered Social Worker

  • Specialist training to doctorate or equivalent experience/competence Management Qualification or equivalent significant management experience Evidence of Continued Professional Development.

  • Advances skills in IT packages, Good working knowledge of other Healthcare and public service Sectors especially those relating to learning disability, criminal justice and childrens services

  • Detailed working knowledge and understanding of the CQC compliance framework relating to Mental Health and learning disability.

Getting vaccinated against diseases that can be passed person-to-person in healthcare settings is part of this responsibility.
