Full Job Description

The Trust is seeking an experienced, driven, Estates professional to support the Directorate of Estates in the development and leadership of a high performing team in the delivery of the full remit of Estates and Facilities services across what is one of the largest, and most complex, healthcare Estates in the country.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for a direct workforce of c1,100 staff and revenue budget of c£90m in the delivery of hard and soft Estates services to ensure that the Organisation continues to deliver its array of tertiary healthcare services. The role is also key in supporting the Director of Estates in the development and delivery of the Estates Strategy including the production of site specific development plans covering Estates infrastructure, to support the clinical services, and the management of the Estate backlog maintenance.

You will be responsible for driving forwards the Trusts ambition to be a Net Zero Estate by 2030 through the development of site-specific technical proposals for the decarbonisation of the Estate and working with the Clinical teams through the delivery of the associated projects., As the senior Operational Estates professional the post holder will provide expert advice on all building and engineering matters and managing various OpEx and CapEx projects across the Trust Estate.

The Deputy Director also acts as the Quality lead ensuring that there is a culture of continual improvement across the Estates function ensuring that the Plan, Do, Study, Act methodology is embedded within the Operational Workshops to drive continual improvement.
