You will be provided with a robust orientation programme to introduce you to our varied teams, developing clinical areas and large community service covering urban and rural areas within Norfolk., You will support the Paediatric Divisional Operational Manager with all aspects of operational management and ensuring the smooth running of the directorate in relation to its patient's services. This involves supporting with delivery of operational performance targets including, waiting lists, finance and continual improvement to quality of services to patients. Other key tasks will include supporting various projects/developments from inception to implementation.
You will also support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate NNUH's 'PRIDE' values of People focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence and demonstrate behaviours that support and encourage an inclusive culture., 1. To support the Divisional Operational Manager with the provision of patient-centred care and a culture of continuous quality improvement.
2. In partnership with clinical colleagues supporting with ensuring that activity, cancer, booking/ choice, access (including relevant aspects of A&E) and quality targets (covering in-patients, day patients and outpatients) are achieved having regard for Trust policies and procedures, and to support with the development of action plans to manage any variances.
3. To support the Divisional Operational Manager with benchmarking and capacity planning models.
4. To monitor and co-ordinate the day to day of Trust risk management and clinical governance policies and systems effectively, ensuring a proactive approach to reduction of clinical risk, clinical effectiveness and a safe and healthy environment in line with the governance strategy.
5. To ensure that the availability of services are optimised for the benefit of patients and that appropriate contingency arrangements are made if it is not possible for the Division to provide normal service.

Travelling to work
Staff parking is available onsite; however, this is limited during core working hours. We have more capacity in the evening and at weekends and can usually provide spaces during those hours.
We look to allocate these spaces fairly. Our Travel Office have a set of criteria that staff must meet in order to qualify. If you qualify for a space, you may be placed on a waiting list if we are at full capacity.
The NNUH is served by a number of public buses, and we offer generously discounted monthly passes with First Bus & Konect.
The Costessey Park and Ride runs regularly each day from 06:30 (from P&R) to 20:45 (from NNUH) and this service is free for NHS staff. There is a regular Thickthorn P&R service as well which is free. Applications to the Travel Office are required for this service. We also have a discounted service from the airport P&R if you purchase a bundle. Please see Konect website for further details.
The NNUH host multiple bicycle racks and a salary sacrifice scheme. We also benefit from a Beryl station onsite.
