Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional senior operational leader to join a dynamic and high-profile team within our Medicine Division, as Deputy Divisional Director at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon.
Our Division of Medicine is a large and diverse Division consisting of Front Door Services, General Internal Medicine, Diagnostics, Medical Specialties, Pharmacy and Bereavement Services.
As Deputy Divisional Director you will provide day to day leadership for senior teams across the Division, ensuring we provide and deliver safe, high quality effective services. You will lead on business planning, strategic service developments and service transformational programmes of work, working in collaboration with Divisions and other external stakeholders and agencies., This is a key senior leadership role and we are looking for a high performing and experienced individual, who is as excited as we are about the future strategic direction of our Medical Services in Swindon, especially with the operationalization of several service transformational projects, including our £45m rebuild of the front door and integrated rehabilitation programme.
The successful applicant will enjoy working in a busy environment, be able to manage multiple priorities, and achieve tight deadlines. In addition to work autonomously and with a high level of accountability is essential. The post holder will need to be flexible and organised, be able to align their values with those of the organisation, have the ability to delegate effectively and to work as part of a team with a 'can do' positive attitude.
Our modern hospital is in Swindon, Wiltshire and we also provide services in primary care and community settings. On the edge of the Cotswolds, there is much to offer in the area with close links to London and Bristol and a huge variety of local villages and towns including Cirencester and Marlborough.
We offer a rewarding opportunity to join our ambitious Trust with a mandate to make a real impact on the outcomes for the people we serve. Whilst our senior leadership team does not yet fully reflect the people we serve, we are absolutely committed to ensuring it will. We will support any successful candidate to be the best version of them and we would therefore like to encourage applicants from any underrepresented groups.
If you feel that you can have the drive, enthusiasm and resilience to fulfil this high-profile role we would like to hear from you.
