Full Job Description

The Surgical Division is currently recruiting a Deputy Divisional Operational Manager to work alongside the highly motivated teams within the Theatres Complex. This role will involve supporting the delivery of operational performance within the footprint of theatres. The role is fast paced yet highly rewarding, with focuses on quality improvement of services for our patients and efficient, consistent performance. Full time: 37.5 hours per week, The Theatre Complex at NNUH has grown significantly over the past few years, with the opening of Jenny Lind Theatre Complex and Norfolk and Norwich Orthopaedic Centre. The footprint which this role supports is vast and requires working alongside each of the sub-specialties to deliver optimum care to each patient group. There is significant improvement work underway with the aim to improve theatre productivity and efficiency, which this role will be directly involved in, as well as understanding the processes, data and equipment/consumable needs of the unit. Data reporting from theatres allows a data driven approach for improvement ideas. The quality of this information is very important due Model Health Systems using this to report nationally and benchmarking NNUH against peers. The theatre complex holds a significant proportion of capital equipment which requires review and updating to the Capital Equipment Replacement Programme (CERP). Improvement plan which has been developed for the NNUH theatre complex has been guided by GIRFT National and Local teams to ensure effective outputs and in line with national standards of best practice.
