Full Job Description

The Cancer Directorate is looking to recruit a Deputy General Manager for Cancer Performance. This exciting opportunity within the Directorate will support the Divisional Leadership Team and the Directorate General Manager.
You will be the nominated Deputy to the Directorate General Manager and have responsibility for delivery on a number of overarching portfolios which span the Directorate. These will include, but are not restricted to, a focus on cancer performance and delivery, staff engagement and communication, workforce planning, oversight on delivery of the Directorate financial efficiency target and working closely with externally provided data (GIRFT, Model Hospital etc) to drive service improvement.

You must have senior operational management experience, and significant expertise in project management, NHS policy, contracting and funding, strategic planning and delivery, development and delivery of staff development projects and communications strategies.
