Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role supporting the General Manager in the pre-opening phase and daily operations of this flagship property.,

  • Act as the hotel's operational leader, ensuring all departments run seamlessly and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Support the General Manager in pre-opening activities, including recruitment, operational setup, and brand standard implementation.
  • Take ownership of daily operations, including front-of-house, housekeeping, and F&B, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Work closely with department heads to maintain consistent quality and align team goals with the overall business strategy.
  • Monitor operational performance, addressing areas of improvement and celebrating successes.
  • Be the go-to leader for team members, providing coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities.
  • Proactively manage guest feedback, ensuring quick resolution of any issues to maintain high guest satisfaction scores.
  • Assist in the preparation of operational budgets and ensure cost controls are adhered to across the hotel.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and community partners.
  • Deputize for the General Manager in their absence, taking full responsibility for the hotel's operations and decision-making.

    Proven experience in a senior operational role, such as Operations Manager, Assistant General Manager, or Deputy General Manager, ideally within a branded hotel.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and develop a team.
  • Excellent knowledge of hotel operations, with hands-on experience in key departments such as front office and F&B.
  • A guest-first mindset with a proven ability to manage and resolve feedback effectively.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience in budget management and cost control.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, from senior management to local community partners.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced environment and a willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Familiarity with Marriott systems and standards is advantageous but not essential.
