Full Job Description

  • To deputise regularly for the Head of Department
  • To work with the Head of Department to develop and implement programmes of study across all types of provision that are fit for purpose and lead to sustainable destinations for all students.
  • To support the Head of Department in the design of programmes for all provision types which embrace innovative and best practice teaching approaches to enable the department to achieve the highest standards.

    Hold or commit to achieving a formal management qualification within three years.
  • Level 2 English and Maths
  • Teaching qualification
  • Experience of high quality teaching, learning and assessment resulting in a positive impact over time

    Wirral Metropolitan College is looking for a Deputy Head of Department to join our Service Industries Team, specifically within the Hair and Beauty Team. This is a 35 hours per week, full-time, permanent role offering a salary of £39, 373 to £44,314 per annum.
