Full Job Description

Windsor Olympus Academy

Deputy Headteacher L14 - L18

Contract type: Permanent

This is an exciting opportunity within Windsor Academy Trust as this year we welcomed our second cohort of students to our ever-evolving school that truly serves the local community, with the opportunity to shape and be part of a growing school innovating for its students. We are looking for an outstanding and ambitious Deputy Headteacher who can lead others in making a difference to the lives of young people at Windsor Olympus Academy (Olympus). The successful candidate will have the commitment, passion and innovative thinking to drive strategy in a start-up setting. As a result, we hope that you are excited by the prospect of being part of the founding senior leadership team as we make our vision for Olympus a reality in partnership with our students, families and wider community.

Olympus is our brand new free school that opened in Sandwell in September 2023, recruiting 180 students from Sandwell and Birmingham. The school caters for students aged 11 to 16. Opening with our inaugural cohort of Year 7 in 2023, Olympus will grow year-on-year to provide education for 900 students after five years. As Deputy Headteacher, you will strategically drive student provision to enable all students to realise their academic and personal potential.

Windsor Olympus Academy will create the right environment for young people to flourish, igniting their passion and love of learning, enabling them to thrive academically. We will awaken students' aspirations and develop their understanding of well-being and health, enabling them to thrive personally. We will be at the heart of the community.

As well as a bespoke package of professional development, we offer a range of staff benefits including membership of the Teachers' Pension Scheme, an employee assistance programme and access to offers and discounts with well-known retailers.
