Full Job Description
- Work as the lead member of the scrub team you will ensure a high standard of clinical care and safety for patients within the theatre unit.
- Provide clinical leadership to junior staff, deputising for the theatre manager when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with other departments e.g. Sterile Services, Wards, and Imaging department to ensure efficient patient care.
- Prepare operating and anaesthetic rooms for surgery as required. To include equipment and supplies required for specific procedures, ensuring appropriate use of resources and minimal waste.
- Assessing patient care requirements, implementing care and evaluating outcomes.

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Senior Registered Practitioner (Theatre Nurse or ODP) to join our AfPP accredited perioperative team as a Deputy Lead Theatre Practitioner for Orthopaedic Surgery. You will be a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, working primarily as a scrub practitioner but with flexibility to cover either Anaesthetics or Recovery when required. This role is ideally suited to a senior registered practitioner (Nurse or ODP) with proven experience working as a scrub practitioner in orthopaedic surgery, who is looking to progress their perioperative career to lead and mentor junior staff. Your working hours will be 4 days per week working between Monday and Saturday 07:45 - 17.45. - Competitive Salary
