The Trust's mission is 'to put the patient first and deliver great care to every patient, every day'.Our priorities are to create a "one team, one trust" culture and focus on the delivery of the following five objectives to ensure we provide high quality, compassionate care to all of our patients:- Delivering safe and effective care across our sites- Creating a positive experience that meets the expectations of our patients, their families andcarers- Providing responsive care that delivers the right treatment, in the right place at the right time- Being financially sustainable- Working in partnership with our patients, commissioners, other health and care providers,local authorities, the voluntary sector, the NHS TDA, NHS England and Monitor in theinterests of our patients and a sustainable local health and social care economy., General responsibilities:- Act as Key Person for named children carrying out observations and developmental reportsfor each child, meeting with parents as appropriate- To undertake and lead on additional responsibilities such as SENCO, training co-ordinator,safeguarding Officer etc.- To be aware of the importance of each child's individual background and varied culturalneeds ensuring the service provided is done so in a non-discriminatory manner andpromotes positive images for all groups within society.- Actively promote and support safeguarding of children in the nursery ensuring that all staffobserve the nursery policy and procedures, to undertake the borough training for'designated safeguarding lead' working alongside the manager.- To undertake shared responsibility for ensuring the nursery is a safe environment for staffand children by carrying out daily risk assessments and reporting any issues to the nurserymanager- Supervise and support Nursery Practitioners, students and
volunteers- Assist the nursery manager in managing the nursery on a day to day basis. Covering themanager's responsibilities and deputising when they are off site.- Engage with nursery practitioners providing support and guidance to enable them tocontribute to planning activities and report writing.- To work with the nursery manager in developing and implementing nursery policies andprocedures- Assist the nursery manager in planning staff training ensuring the team are up to date
