Full Job Description

To effectively lead and manage a team in the absence of the General Manager, to deliver a profitable business within a legal framework, as laid down by Company Policy and Procedure. The ability to work in all areas of the business as required, to ensure the smooth running of the business at all times. To complete internal / external holiday relief for a General Manager, as well as the ability to complete a holding relief to a high standard in the absence of a General Manager.
To bring a positive attitude to teamwork on shift and in and meetings whilst contributing to the smooth running of the pub and interacting productively with other areas of the business, i.e. kitchen. A customer and sales focused approach to the role, and a passion for hospitality. A strong communicator, (written and verbal) with good interpersonal skills. Strong time management skills, and ability to adapt to changing circumstances. Experience and ability to resolve conflict. The ability to train and coach team members and management alike to deliver the highest levels of customer care

Assist the General Manager with their duties. To communicate with General Managers on all issues affecting the business. To ensure standards are maintained throughout the business. To ensure personal development so that all pub staff receive adequate training, development, and motivation. To carry out duties requested by the GM, including interviewing, hiring, issuing of contracts and starter information and carry out full inductions Carry out all paperwork and house checks outlined in our Health & Safety Policy. Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures, as well as ensuring that all staff comply with policies Achieve Green Audits on Health and Safety, Kitchen Audits and Retail Business Audits Manage all customer enquiries, complaints, and bookings requests in a timely and professional manner. Ensure the premises are secure when the business is not trading Adhere to the licensing requirements, whilst ensure that all activities are in line with Business Operating
Schedule Ensure the business maintains a high level of standards including appearance and cleanliness Ensure that all staff are legally compliant with regards to Right to Work. Ensure that all staff complete the appropriate level of e-learning for their job role, within 12 weeks of employment Raise with the General Manager any personal training and development needs that you may have that are hindering your ability to do the role Understand and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales figures Identify opportunities to improve margins and KPI's Undertake food and liquor stock control - line checks and stock take Feedback and reporting ideas to improve supplier service and quality Control labour to ensure they are in line with the house budget Ensure the general costs and cash spend is line with the house budget Understand the house GP for Wet and Dry to ensure it is in line with the budget Ensure that the team are effectively managed and developed, do this by
assisting the G\m by Clearly communicating the Company's vision and strategy and ensure that all members of the team participate in achieving it Continuously provide relevant training to all staff, for example Every Customer Leaves Happy initiative. Ensure the security of the premises, do this by ensuring all persons with access to the safe have their own safe codes, all persons use their own till key rather than sharing.
