We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our dynamic and skilled team at our JAG accredited endoscopy unit at London Bridge Hospital. Our JAG Accredited Endoscopy unit, based in St Olaf House, London Bridge Hospital, offers a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures - ERCP, EUS, POEM, EBUS The Endoscopy Department supports the delivery of complex gastrointestinal (GI) and respiratory medicine. Its role is vital in the ability to accurately diagnose and treat a wide range of diseases from oesophageal cancer to acid reflux, and from bowel cancer to Barrett's Oesophagus. London Bridge Hospital was the first private hospital in the UK to offer Endobronchial Ultrasound Service (Ebus). We are also the first hospital in the UK to use Cellvizo technology for exclusively clinical purposes. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver a consistently high standard of patient care utilising evidence-based practice.
  • Actively lead junior staff to work according to organisational policies and in accordance with HCA Code of Conduct.
  • Supervise and support staff in delivering appropriate patient care
  • Ensure working practices follow Endoscopy national guidelines
  • Maintain an up-to-date professional portfolio
  • Participate in clinical supervision (or similar) and mentorship of staff
  • Lead and embed the Departmental Philosophy of Care and behaviours
  • Actively be involved in assessing and managing all clinical risks
  • Provide an out of hours on-call service to assist the operating theatre on-call team
  • Assist department manager in delivery and maintenance of JAG Accreditation
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership and assist with the development of the department in terms of staff skills, resource efficiency and business interest
  • Work well within a multidisciplinary team

    RGN Level 1 (current registration with NMC)
  • At least 5 years' experience working in a GI endoscopy unit with 2 years at a senior level
  • Working knowledge of JAG/GRS Accreditation programme
  • Working knowledge of decontamination of flexible endoscopes
  • Ideally you will have an associated endoscopy qualification
