Full Job Description
Our Positive Behaviour Support Services support individuals with complex needs, preventing hospital admission, and promoting the development of skills and independence. We work closely with Aspens PBS Specialist team and are proud of the support we provide. Our focus is always on promoting quality of life and maximising choice and control.,
- Leadership & Team Management: Oversee staff recruitment, training, and mentoring while fostering a positive, person-centered environment.
- Service Development: Drive service excellence by supporting transitions, implementing high-quality care plans, and maintaining compliance with best practices and CQC standards.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure safeguarding, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement through effective quality assurance measures.
- Operational Support: Act as a visible leader, deputising for the PBS Senior Service Manager as needed, and collaborating with regional managers.
- Service Delivery: Promote independence, dignity, and choice for service users while managing resources and maintaining a flexible, reliable team structure. Essential Availability: · Weekdays (Flexible office hours, some events, weekends or evenings when required), Any offer would be subject to Disclosure and Barring checks, which we will complete on your behalf if you don't already have one, and satisfactory employment references. We will consider job share and part time arrangements for all posts in line with the needs of the charity.

Aspens Charities is seeking a dynamic Deputy Manager to lead our specialist supported living services. Ideal candidates will have experience in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and a passion for empowering individuals with complex needs., · Equivalent of A-C in Maths and English GCSE Essential Experience and Knowledge: · Experience in working within a PBS Framework · Experience of working with individuals who have extremely complex needs · Knowledge of Autism, Learning Disabilities, and Mental Health · The ability to train and assess staff · Experience in the management investigations and disciplinary matters. · Be well organised, methodical and determined yet flexible in order to motivate staff. · Good knowledge of current legislation, learning disabilities, autism, and social care issues in relation to mental capacity and deprivation of liberty. Essential Skills and Attributes: · Good working knowledge of working with individuals with Autism, Asperger Syndrome, Learning Disabilities and Mental Health Issues · Be well organised, methodical and determined yet flexible in order to motivate staff. · Good knowledge of current legislation, learning disabilities, autism, and social care issues in relation to mental capacity and deprivation of liberty. · Ability to plan and prioritise workload · Ability to motivate staff · Ability to write support plans · Ability to draw up and adjust rotas as required · Report writing · Understanding of budget management systems · Good communication skills · Ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders · Promote the charity positively · Must be a driver, Whether you have years of care experience or no experience at all, if you are a caring person, passionate about empowering others and ready to learn new skills we want to speak to you!
