Full Job Description

Sitting within the national parking team, but working with colleagues across the organisation, the Deputy National Parking Manager role will help us to drive efficiency and effectiveness through workload planning and organisation, as well as providing guidance and support to colleagues. This crucial role will help us plan and implement our business-wide parking objectives and to support key projects.
The Deputy National Parking Manager and is responsible for the line management of our Parking Coordinators.
This is a permanent full-time role for 37 hours per week which will be worked across 5 days from Monday to Sunday each week. The nature of the work includes requirement for regular rota'd weekend, public and privilege holiday and evening working. To accommodate this, a rostered 7-day contract will be issued as standard. There is also an expectation that this role may be required to be on-call on a rota’d basis to act as a weekend and evening escalation contact.
This role is offered on the basis of blended working, a combination of office based and the flexibility of some virtual working. The location of this post is at the Keystone Innovation Centre, Thetford, Norfolk. The post responsibilities cover the whole of England and the post holder will need to regularly travel (including some overnight stays) to sites across England as required by the role., The role will involve a wide range of management functions including:
+ People management.
+ National operational support.
+ External stakeholder support.
+ Project management.
Key work areas include:
+ Line management of a number of Parking Coordinators; supervise, plan and monitor their work, including management of rotas including evening and weekend shifts.
+ Communicate goals and deadlines to team members.
+ Ensure all work tasks falling within the Parking Coordinators remit, including customer relations, district support, supplier liaison and complaints handling are carried out to exemplary standard.
+ Assess team performance and provide feedback to employees.
+ Be the main point of contact for escalation of visitor correspondence, complaints and queries.
+ Support with and advise on car parking communications internally and externally.
+ Develop strong relationships both internally and externally to ensure that you and those around you are keeping up to date in parking developments, highlighting areas of potential improvement and development.
+ Maintain and develop administrative procedures and systems.
+ Ensure compliance with policy and procedures, including parking industry regulations and GDPR.
+ Manage day-to-day financial processes and monitor parking budgets.
+ Provide operational and technical car parking guidance and support to district teams.
+ Provide project support during the implementation of car parking management systems and initiatives in alignment with Forestry England car parking strategy.
+ Working with the Customer Relations team utilising our CRM Software system – Connections.
+ Working with the Membership team on projects, issues and membership complaints.
+ Organise recruitment and induction programmes for new employees.
+ Cover work of Parking Coordinators, as required to support peak delivery periods or to cover periods of leave.
+ Any other parking related tasks reasonably requested by your line manager., A reserve list may be held for a period of 6 months from which further appointments can be made.
