Full Job Description

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and flexible Deputy Operations Manager, with strong customer service skills, for Derby Road in Ipswich who look after over 18,700 patients., To oversee the management of the appointment rota for clinical staff and book additional locum staff working within a set financial budget as approved by the Practice Manager.

To arrange meetings on behalf of the Practice Operations Manager, attend meetings when required and complete any necessary paperwork such as agendas or meeting minutes.

Organising mandatory training to include but is not limited to; fire marshal, BLS and nursing courses.

Monitoring practice staff E-Learning modules, reminding and encouraging staff to complete courses within the set timeframe.

To assist the Practice Operations Manager with annual appraisals and follow up meetings.

We have an established team with a strong focus on customer service and communication. We would love to hear from candidates with GP surgery experience although we would also like to hear from those that can show flexibility and a range of transferable skills.

The successful candidate should be able to work calmly and professionally as part of a team. You should have the ability to multi-task. A strong command of written and spoken English with an excellent telephone manner is a must. Good time management skills and the ability to follow protocols and or instruction and attention to detail is essential.
