Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated person with a keen interest in nurse education and development in a community setting. You will be helping the Practice Development team to develop high standards of practice & performance as well as to develop a comprehensive education programme for our Neighbourhood Nursing team in the heart of London., We are looking for a staff member to provide support to our Integrated Local Services Practice Development team with a focus on supporting clinical skills competency.

You will be involved with supporting clinical staff and teaching. You will also be involved with education & training to all relevant personnel within the Integrated Local Services (ILS) directorate to ensure high standards of care and excellent patient experience.

Rachel Turner-Peard- Matron for Education welcomes informal discussion prior to applications., You will support the Education Lead and Service Leads to provide direction & leadership and to implement the education, training and development strategy for district nursing, community matrons, as well as in-patient rehabilitation units, @home service plus other community services staff.

We are embarking on some exciting new educational initiatives to support newly qualified and new people to community nursing and you will take responsibility for the further development, growth and support of new recruits and existing staff including acute nursing staff on rotation from Guys and St Thomas' to meet the exciting new ways of working here in South London Community nursing services.

You will be working across all nursing services across ILS with a team of practice development nurses.
