This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference for the children and young people of Kirklees by providing deputy leadership and management of the Pupil Admission Team. Do you have a high level of specialist knowledge and experience around School Admissions and are able to support and contribute to the development and operational delivery of admissions policies and processes which will include;
- providing technical expertise, guidance and up-to-date information about all aspects of the operation of the School Admissions Code and Admissions Appeals Code in order to ensure policies are compliant and meet the needs of children and their families in securing a school place.
- providing deputy leadership and effective direct staff management.
- representing the service and Pupil Admissions Manager as required and at a regional/national level seeking feedback and best practice elsewhere to support service improvement.
- preparing and presenting internal and external reports and data returns as required.
- responding to complex complaints and requests for information
- assisting with the planning and delivery of robust strategies that enable professional and strong partnerships with school and academy leaders.
- providing deputy leadership on project management relating to development of compliant, efficient and effective systems and processes.
- supporting the Pupil Admissions Manager to deliver the service within agreed budgets and service level agreements.
