Full Job Description

The successful candidate will assist the scheme manager in the management of staff to provide a responsive social care service to vulnerable individuals with and without a learning disability, forensic needs or mental health needs who may communicate by way of exhibiting behaviours that may be considered as challenging and/or aggressive, from the age of 16+. Utilise appropriate methods of assessment and intervention in an enabling manner.

Work to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory standards and requirements whilst creating a safe and positive environment. To be responsible for the effectiveness of social care services for service users: To co-ordinate the service to specific individuals ensuring that the service they receive meets their needs and is person centred. to lead the assessment , co-ordination and agree the action upon the immediate and long term provision of personal and practicable assistance to vulnerable adults with complex needs.

To supervise and manage others in maintaining and improving the well being and security of vulnerable adults with complex needs. To give a clear sense of direction and support within the supported living service, and to service users reflecting person centred principles at all times.

This post is subject to satisfactory reference history of at least two years, Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check, medical clearance, evidence of any essential qualifications and proof of Right to Work in the UK in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996.

The successful applicant will be required to work outside of a 7am to 8pm Monday to Friday work pattern and will receive an additional payment on top of the quoted salary as a result.
