Full Job Description

  • Mitie are looking for a Deputy Security Manager to come on board at one of our National Blue Chip clients, and work along side and reporting directly to the Site Security Manager. You will support our Security Manager & Senior Team with the efficient and effective day to day running of the security operation at these awesome thriving head offices located in the heart of Warwick.

  • You will join our team providing a safe and secure environment leaving people with a good impression of the security service whilst assisting the onsite team in delivering excellent people care, adhering to H&S standards and building compliance. The focus is to provide a positive experience for all staff, and visitors to the site.
    This would ideally suit someone with a proven track record in security operations management, experience managing a unionised workforce and excellent leadership skills in addition to their holding an SIA Frontline licence.
    Due to 24/7 security operation on site - some flexibility in terms of working hours will be expected.
    Role Responsibility
    + To be on site 5 days each week, ensuring that time is spent with all security staff over the working shift patterns.
    + Manage, train and develop the security teams and review the Assignment Instructions for all locations with the Security Manager
    + To be the initial management contact for all supervisors operational security matters, ensuring a consistent quality service delivery, clear communications and prompt responses to all incidents.
    + Establish and effectively lead highly capable on-site Security teams who will deliver against the strategic objectives for the contract.
    + Co-ordinate / manage all incident investigations ensuring identification of root cause failings and lessons learnt to prevent re-occurrence in the absence of the Security Manager.
    + Maintain a constant operational capability to manage any crisis / incidents at the site, under the direction of the site Security Manager
    + Ensure the necessary internal security audits are undertaken and provide a detailed action plan and manage all non-compliance.
    + Managing security staff attendance records including sickness and annual leave.
    + Complete and manage the rota for the Security team
    + Carry out initial recruitment and staff inductions in line with company processes
    + Ensure all compliance checks are completed for the Security team
    + Responsible for the management and training of staff to ensure that all HR processes are followed in line with Company Policy and procedures, this includes payroll.

    + Proven track record in security management role
    + Experience in managing a unionised workforce
    + Good health and safety knowledge and experience. IOSH membership desirable.
    + Proven background in multi skilled Security disciplines
    + Strong leadership skills, ability to coach and motivate a team
    + SIA Frontline license
    + Excellent IT and communication skills
    + Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage your time effectively
    + Experience of designing and delivering targets to achieve quality standards and customer satisfaction levels.
    + Experience of customer relationship management
    + First Aid at Work trained
