The client is recruiting for a Deputy Service Manager to support adults with learning disabilities. In this role, you will assist the Service Manager in nurturing and inspiring staff to ensure top-notch support services.   • Support the Service Manager in maintaining high standards of clinical and personal support.
  • Promote independence and choice for the people supported in the service.
  • Manage and ensure the delivery of the service s quality and safety priorities.
  • Directly supervise and line manage a team of Support Workers.
  • Promote and lead good practice, ensuring the safety and satisfaction of the people supported.
  • Perform on-call shifts during out-of-office hours.
  • Work 20% of weekly hours on shift across assigned services.
  • Maintain continual feedback to the Service Manager focusing on quality and continuous improvement.
  • Hold delegated responsibility in key areas of the day-to-day running of the supported living service.

    Significant, recent experience at a front-line management level in the field of learning disabilities within regulated services.
  • Knowledge of legislation and guidance related to adults with learning disabilities, CQC regulations, and Health and Safety issues.
  • Proficient IT skills and experience in maintaining records.
  • Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care or a Level 3 diploma with a willingness to undertake the Level 5 apprenticeship qualification within 18 months.
  • Ability to lead and manage people, acting as a role model in all aspects of people leadership.
  • Full UK driving license with access to your own vehicle.
